Hi, Welcome to my web site. My name is Derek and I run a family business trading in white goods.
In the early 1970's when I finished my education I worked for my brother in his radio and television business.
It was about the time automatic washing machines were becoming popular and as we were frequently asked to repair these I taught myself to do that.
As I was responsible for the domestic appliance side of the business we decided to split this from the radio side, and in 1979 I started on my own, although we still shared the premises.
I mostly did breakdown repairs and this led to machine replacement for unrepairable items. I also did a lot of reconditioning and with the gradual expansion of the business new sales increased.

In 1987 I had the opportunity to acquire The Croft Showroom which gave me the space to display more products and further expand the business.
On my staff I have Barry who works in the workshop and helps me with deliveries and installation. I am usually on the road doing repairs. My daughter runs an e-bay shop (Harts4Parts), selling new and second hand spares for appliances and cleaners.
My brother Tony has developed the website.
